Personalized medicine is increasingly important for treatment, prediction, and prevention of diseases. To be able to tailor medical decisions to the individual characteristics of each patient, we require biomarker information. The BIC BRIDGE project wants to contribute to the challenge of more personalized medicine for the patient by bridging the gap between research results and access to commercial products.
In this video, Valérie Daussin Laurent and Huram Konjen tell about the BIC Biomarker Commercialization Project, why it’s needed, what the BiC Tool is and what’s next for the project.
*BIC BRIDGE project is based on the main outputs and results from the BiC – Biomarker Commercialization project. Thanks to the regular project, the BiC consortium managed to tackle specific challenges from the biomarker development and commercialization field.
BIC BRIDGE serves not only to improve the outputs delivered in the original project but also includes a whole new set of activities aiming at increasing the scope of the tools and broadening the target groups, as well as increasing usability, sustainability and impact, through
- Commercialization and regulatory guidedance in advanced stages of development
- Practical conversation of the Biomarker Commercialization Guide
- Educational Training Toolbox
- Increased visibility and awareness.
