Tartu Biotechnology Park invites you to join new editions of EIT Health Accelerator Programmes 2021!

The EIT Health Accelerator offers Biotech, Medtech and Digital Health Startups and SMEs an access to knowledge, markets, stakeholders and finance opportunities through its programmes in 2021.
Since launching in 2016, EIT Health has helped more than 740 start-ups across Europe bring 22 products and services to market and attract more than €205M in investment!

The Catapult program supports innovative European startups from Biotech, MedTech and Digital Health areas with:
  • Business plan maturation;
  • Pitch training;
  • Investor preparedness;
  • Exposure to investors;
  • European media visibility;
  • Networking with representatives from EIT health partners and external top life science stakeholders;
  • Interactions with other innovative startups from Europe in your (Biotech, MedTech or Digital Health) area;
  • Prize money up to €40.000;
  • Participation to the EIT Health Summit which attracts hundreds of participants from the European life science landscape every year.

The Bridgehead program targets start-ups that:
  • Sell their product or services in at least one market in Europe
  • Deliver transformative products and services in biotech/medtech/digital health
  • Have fewer than 250 full time employees
  • Are planning to expand their business in other European or global markets.

The EIT Health Bridgehead programme can provide your scale-up personalised support in growing your business in Europe beyond their home market. This programme provides the seasoned expertise, local insight and financial support needed to help realise your business ambitions of going abroad.

There are two sub-progams within Bridgehead;

  1. Europe: driving the expansion of your venture from one European market into another through our partners.
  2. Global: helping you expand your European health scale-up to markets outside of Europe.

The two challenge areas Wild Card 2021 is focused on are: advancing eye and vision care and progressing pain management.

Start-ups Meet Pharma brings together pharma companies posing specific problems in their area of interest and start-ups developing innovative technologies and services representing potential solutions for the selected challenges.

In 2021, five pharma companies including Abbott, Takeda, Merck, Amgen and AstraZeneca have released challenges. We invite start-ups to jointly address the challenges they face with operational products and services in patient identification, chronic kidney disease, Multiple Sclerosis, mobility disability prevention and adult ADHD.
