Speakers of the seminar
Katrin Saar is an adviser at Estonian Research Council, Department of International Research Cooperation working in the Horizon programme. She is the national delegate and NCP for SC2 “Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine, maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy” and Horizon Europe Cluster 6.
Katrin is also a consultant for mobility funding (post-doctoral grants provided by the Japanese Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS)) and consultant for international mobility co-operation programme with Taiwan.
Anu Oks. CEO Estonian Business Angels Network and startup ecosystem builder working with angel investors and startup teams on a daily basis. As EstBAN CEO she is building a bridge between startups and investors – thereby offering the best investment opportunities to investors and great “smart-money” value for startups.
Formerly she worked as TalTech innovation and business centre Startup Programme Manager. She worked with super-early-stage startups with the pre-incubation program and was helping to improve the relationships between industries and academics. So her passion has been helping deep-tech startup teams and research groups with an entrepreneurial mindset and support. She also worked in Enterprise Estonia (2011-2015) as coordinator of international experts supporting the application’s evaluation.
Dr. Michael Brandkamp. General Partner at The European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF). PhD in Business Innovation with 20+ years of investment experience as Managing Director of High-Tech Gruenderfonds Management GmbH, Tech Investments in KfW, and tbg. Mr. Bradkamp has great expertise in all types of financial instruments and leading transactions in High-Tech and bioeconomy start-ups. He has performed as a member of several advisory boards, assured investments in around 550 start-ups, closed more than a hundred exits, executed 30+ IPOs, and raised almost EUR 1bn in various fundraising initiatives
