Estonian HealthTech Week 2025 – Event Summary
Date & Location: 25–29 August, Tallinn & Tartu
Participants: 26 international guests from Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, France, Singapore, Australia, and Romania, and more than 150 representatives of the Estonian healthtech ecosystem as well as international stakeholders.
Objective: To showcase health innovation, local startups, the state of technology and digital health development in Estonia and Europe, and to foster networking and international collaboration for Estonian companies and stakeholders.

Estonian HealthTech Week 2025 (HTW) provided a comprehensive overview of the Estonian ecosystem through a series of partner-led seminars, conferences, and networking events.
Days 1–2 (Tallinn & Tartu): Focused on introducing international guests to Estonia’s digital health landscape, including the X-Road, national e-health solutions, and local innovation practices. Sessions featured leading experts from universities, hospitals, science parks, and companies, offering insights into how innovation reaches healthcare. Highlights included visits to the Estonian Genome Centre, University of Tartu Delta Centre, and Tartu University Hospital, as well as discussions on AI applications in radiology, personalised medicine, and startup collaboration.
Day 3 – DTx New Nordics Conference (Tartu): Brought together over 100 participants to discuss digital health opportunities and challenges in the New Nordics region. Topics included the European Health Data Space, the impact of the AI Act, collaboration with the Gulf region, and best practices from Singapore and Australia.
Day 4 – AI in Clinical Diagnostics: From Innovation to Implementation (Tartu): Focused on practical adoption of AI solutions in healthcare. Sessions addressed data access, case studies of AI diagnostics, open-source vs commercial platforms, and procurement strategies. The conference presented real-world insights into the use of AI in hospitals, featuring experts from across Europe and beyond.
Day 5 – Exploring Export Markets for Life Sciences Companies (Tallinn): Dedicated to export support, offering in-depth sessions on opportunities in the USA, Germany, and the UAE. The programme included expert panels and 1:1 meetings to provide hands-on guidance for entering new markets.
HTW 2024 successfully connected Estonian startups, researchers, hospitals, and policymakers with international experts and partners. The week offered a platform for knowledge exchange, showcasing Estonia’s strengths in digital health and AI, and supporting companies in building international networks and exploring new markets.
