At the forum insights and experience in the field will be shared by representatives of Pfizer, General Electric Healthcare Sciences, the Japanese Science and Technology Agency, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), Israel’s Weizmann Institute, and other institutions and companies of this viable sector.

Life Sciences Baltics 2014 is the biggest international biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices and equipment forum in the Baltic States which brings together life sciences experts from more than 30 countries. I am happy that the Baltic scientists and entrepreneurs engaged in the life sciences sector are valued as desirable partners in the implementation of international programmes and projects such as FP7, Horizon 2020. Lithuanians have gained a reputation as reliable providers of quality scientific research and services in the field of life sciences. This is highly important as trustworthiness is the key element of this sector, giving companies a competitive advantage” pointed out Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius.

This year besides already established topics for biotechnology, pharmaceutical and  medical experts, focus will be put on special sessions about opportunities in Russia and CIS countries, as well as EU policies and funding opportunities for scientific activities. Life Sciences Baltics 2014 forum brings a great opportunity to discover state-of-the-art scientific infrastructure and investor-ready startups in the Baltics.
