Two teams from BioInnovation Days represented Estonia at the EIT Health Winners’ Event in Paris

On Sunday December 1st 192 participants arrived at Palais Brongniart for the Winners’ Event. 138 of these were students from the 33 winning i-Day teams.

Judges, mentors, coaches, speakers and organisers all contributed their expertise and supported students throughout the day to develop their ideas. There was a lecture style opening session followed by an afternoon of workshops and guidance from mentors. The day ended with pitching and an award ceremony where the top three teams were presented with their impressive prize packages generously donated by EIT Health and were given the exciting opportunity to pitch their ideas at the EIT Health Summit the following day. Teams placed 4th to 10th were also presented with EIT Health Mentoring Coaching Network vouchers worth 1500 Euros!

The winner teams from BioInnovation Days 2019 that took place in Tartu on November 1-2, DigiRehab and Healthcard were given the opportunity to represent Estonia in Paris. Although the teams did not make it to top 10, they were happy to receive valuable feedback to their ideas and considered the event to be a great experience.

Overall, the Winners’ event was an incredible highlight of what has been a very successful year for Innovation Days. Across 6 CLC’s 26 partners and 13 RIS Hubs have enthusiastically delivered 31 impressive i-Days reaching at least 1,500 students.
