BioHackathon 2020 – side-event of sTARTUp Day 2020!

BioHackathon is happening again!

When? Wednesday, 29th  of January
Where? University of Tartu Library @ W. Struve 1, Tartu

BioHackathon⚡ will bring together students and starting and established entrepreneurs in the field of life sciences.
The event focuses on business development and excecution of the ideas through intensive mentoring programm on site.
All participants will take part in a pitching competition and sessions with experienced mentors as well as learn from topical seminars, held by experts in life sciences sector.

If your idea is in any of the following areas, join us!

  • Biotechnology (all the colors of the rainbow)
  • Medicine
  • Veterinary medicine
  • Life Sciences (more general ideas)

10:00-10:30        Registration + morning coffee
10:30-11:30        Keynotes/seminars by Merike Leego (EIT Health), Mindaugas Plieskis (Johnson&Johnson), Priit Aigro (HealBED)
11:30-12:00        Idea pitches
12:00-13:00        Team formation + working on business cases with mentors
13:00-14:00        Lunch (with teamwork)
14:00-16:00        Working on business cases with mentors
16:00-16:15        Guided mindfulness session
16:15-16:30        Coffee break
16:30-17:00        Final prep for pitching
17:00-18:00        Pitching competition + feedback

At the end of the day the following prizes will also be given out:

– The winner of BioHackathon – prize 500 euros
– Best pitch of BioHackathon – 5 hours of consultations from Tartu Biotechnology Park
– BioHackathon winner will pitch in the Nordic PitchMatch on the 31st of January on the sTARTUp Day pitching stage!
