The event featured presentations by experts from the <strong>Estonian University of Life Sciences<\/strong>, the <strong>Agricultural Research Centre<\/strong> and <strong>Civitta<\/strong>, and a joint discussion on sustainable food production, the carbon sequestration capacity of soils, and the measurement of the carbon footprint of agricultural enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>Even before the workshop took place, it was clear from the registration activity that the interest of entrepreneurs and organizations in carbon footprint and soil carbon sequestration is high. The workshop confirmed that it is be necessary to share even more information and organise meetings for stakeholders to exchange ideas and experiences. At the moment, everyone has more questions than answers.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the discussion, it was jointly recognized that although the European Union&#8217;s climate goals are too big and there is still no knowledge and good methodologies to implement these goals, it is still important to try to move towards the goals and find ways to reduce the carbon footprint in agriculture.
