The second event of the Morning Health Talks \"\"<\/a>Tartu series took place on November 19, where Dr. Jaanus Pikani (Tartu Biotechnology Park; MT\u00dc ScanBalt) and Prof. Peeter Ross (TalTech, Institute of Health Technologies; East Tallinn Central Hospital) presented the results of the first phase of the PERSON-CENTRED INTEGRATED HOSPITAL MASTER PLAN IN ESTONIA project.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

At the request of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, the European Commission’s Structural Reform Support Service (SRSS, renamed DG REFORM) started implementing the project in the beginning of 2020. The current two-year project is planned in four phases, the first of which – the mapping of hospitals’ human resources, infrastructure, financial sustainability, management and data recording and information flow – was presented at the event.<\/p>\n

The presentations highlighted the most important and interesting aspects of a voluminous report. More than fifty Estonian health care experts attending the event had an opportunity to comment on the report and discuss the possibilities of innovation in Estonian health-care system..<\/p>\n

The aim of Morning Health Talks coffee mornings is to inspire, mediate important, topical and innovative health news, ideas and practices, and to bring together important actors of the Estonian health ecosystem and strengthen communication between them.<\/p>\n

The first coffee morning of the MHT series of events took place on 23 September, when Monika Toth<\/strong> (EIT Health InnoStars RIS program), Taavi Annus<\/strong> (Ministry of Social Affairs) and Simmo Saar<\/strong> (Health Board) discussed aspects of communication, innovation and cooperation in the field of health.<\/p>\n
