CB Health Access leads health tech companies to India and Uganda markets<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the help of the Central Baltic Interreg programme, Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol is leading CB Health Access project for the advancement of health tech entrepreneurship. The project is helping to introduce Estonian, Finnish, Swedish and Latvian health tech companies, including e-health, medical technology and biotechnology companies, to new markets further afield. The India and Uganda are the markets opened in the fall 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will start introducing the Indian and Uganda markets to health tech companies,\u201d said K\u00fclle T\u00e4rnov, head of the CB Health Access project. \u201c17 health tech companies will be selected for the India and 17 for Uganda programme from the four partner countries.\u201d She added that a seminars introducing the programme and the opening markets will be held in every partner\u2019s country in September. The seminar will be carried out and the companies for the programme will be selected.<\/p>\n

The programme will include introductions to the respective health tech markets as well as individual guidance for each company, business missions for the target markets, gathering information and finding prospective partners. The expected result is a company achieving primary sales on the target market. The Estonian partner Tartu Biotechnology Park will open the way to the wide Indian market, while Swedish MedTech cluster win cooperation with SweCare will be paving the way to rapidly growing Uganda.<\/p>\n

The CB Health Access project will last for three years and during this period 17 companies will be selected from the region for every market. These companies will have to see one of these markets as their target market and their team must be prepared to take on the process of entering the market with their product. The programs towards US and South-Korea started in the spring 2016 and intense work with the selected companies is taking place.<\/p>\n

Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol is the lead partner in the CB Health Access project. The other project partners are Tartu Biotechnology Park, Turku Science Park, Enixus Baltics Latvia, SweCare and the Swedish Medtech cluster. The project is being financed via the Central Baltic Interreg programme.<\/p>\n
